Welcome to hoffthecuff!
Hopefully you’ll enjoy and identify with some of the material here. We all share so many of the same thoughts and feelings; it’s wonderful to have someone who you can identify and emphasize with.
I once saw a movie that compared us to a grove of Aspen trees. Although we seem totally separate at first glance; we’re all connected by the same root system. To me that means we’re all children of God and our basics in life are pretty much the same. Our differences might be our political leanings, our religious preference, our interests/hobbies and such but deep down we all have a sense of humor and like to laugh with, identify with and share with others whether they’re just like us or not…differences are great.
Well, hoffthecuff aims to join us all together. I do want to “fess up” though about myself. I’m an “older” female who “identifies” as younger than I am. I’m a Christian, a conservative, a wife, mom, step mom, sister, aunt, friend and optimist in life.
I’ve worked most of my life except for the years raising my family. I love working because I feel that it keeps you informed, connected, always learning and applying what you’ve learned. I like getting up in the morning with an objective, I like getting dressed, I love makeup, feeling good about what the day has in store and meeting with and interacting with people.
Now I’m “semi-retired”, I’ll never say it’s final! My days are what I make them and I’m able to enjoy life on my terms and my challenge these days is to stay productive and connected and I get to have total control over it! I have definite opinions on things but like to see how others feel about the issues that “spark”.
